In this blended media class, take inspiration from artists on check out who adore nature and want to protect the setting. You can sculpt, paint, and attract with artist Beatriz Jaramillo.

This application will take put indoors on LACMA’s campus, Monday–Friday, January 2–6.

About the Instructor

Beatriz Jaramillo’s get the job done addresses the landscape as metaphor and modality, highlighting the tensions generated by the synthetic separation amongst character and culture, and, in the system, inviting the viewer to rethink their fractured romance with nature. Beatriz researched Great Arts in her native Colombia, and, in Los Angeles, she been given an MA in Artwork Education and learning and an MFA in Studio Art with emphasis in Sculpture/Ceramics. With her perform, the artist integrates art, science, and technological know-how with neighborhood participation, in order to inspire significant dialogues about environmental troubles. Her artwork has been exhibited in various galleries and museums in the United states of america and Colombia. She also has served as a training artist at LACMA and the Norton Simon Museum, as effectively as a college member at Cal State University, as a Ceramic Teacher.
