Many things can cause premature aging. While wrinkles are an essential part of aging, there are things we can do to delay the aging process. With the passing years, we will develop deep lines on the face, as it is natural for the face to lose some of its youthfulness.

However, our immediate environment and lifestyle choices can cause premature aging, which is why you might want to check out the below-given tips to delay premature aging.

Apply Sunscreen

Yes, it is absolutely nice to sit in the sun and soak in the pleasant rays; however, the UV rays are quite damaging to the skin as well. The UV rays can cause premature aging, which is why you will want to apply sunscreen every day.

The moment you step out of the house to run errands or spend a fun day at the beach, you will want to apply sunscreen with at least SPF 30 – or higher – depending on your region. Make sure to apply sunscreen on all exposed areas, including your neck, hands, feet, arms, and legs.

Keep replying after every half an hour for optimum protection.

Stop Smoking

Many people don’t know about this, but smoking can actively speed up the process of aging. In fact, if you have started to smoke early, there is a great chance that you have wrinkles. The thing about smoking is that it makes your visage appear dull and prone to develop wrinkles.

If you struggle with going cold turkey, you might want to transition to e-cigs as these contain fewer toxins than regular cigs. You will also want to avoid repetitive facial expressions – a resting bitch face might work perfectly if you want to avoid premature wrinkles.

If you have premature wrinkles and you are 22 or older, you might want to opt for dermal fillers to correct deep wrinkles and skin folds. You can also use derma fillers to get plump lips and fix the under-eye hollows.

Consume Healthy Foods

You might have heard before that you are what you eat, which is why you will want to focus on consuming healthy foods. To boost your skin health and to get a wrinkle-free face, you will want to avoid carbs, especially refined carbs and sugars, as these can cause premature aging.

If you have a sweet tooth, you can switch to natural sugars, such as fruits and dates, rather than munching on sweets, candies, and chocolates. Focus on getting more fruits and veggies, as these will keep your face fresh and glowing.

Drink More Water

Before we get into the benefits of drinking water for your skin, let us tell you what you should not drink, which is alcohol. So, you will want to avoid alcohol because alcohol is awful on the skin. Not only does alcohol dehydrate the skin, but it also damages the skin, which can make you look older than you are.

By drinking enough water, you will not only improve your complexion but also get glowing skin. So, invest in a portable water bottle and keep sipping water throughout the day.
