Artful Weekend March 26-27 – The Art League

Welcome to Suave Weekend, our guideline to fun and interesting techniques to take pleasure in artwork in man or woman or virtually.


This weekend: Two pictures exhibits and a member show at the League Linda Stein’s and Mil Lubroth’s abstracts at Society House DC Renee Balfour’s character-inspired wooden sculptures at Amy Kaslow Gallery  and Michael Crossett’s layered silkscreens at Long Perspective Gallery.



March Open Show

Open up Exhibits at The Art League existing an array of functions in a wide variety of mediums developed by our member artists. March’s Open Exhibit features 97 artworks, and was juried by Gage Branda, artist, educator and Improvement & Curatorial Coordinator at the American Visionary Artwork Museum.

Jennifer Allevato received the Finest-in-Present Award for her painting Cornflower Blue Traces and Flowers. Claims the artist:

“These are not flowers, they are paintings of bouquets: parts established 100% by my fingers. The movements, the strains, the brushstrokes, the drips: all indications that a human being was in this article. These eye-popping, imperfect borders are just a different reminder of the act of building. Flawlessly imperfect.”

Allevato presented Seated, an exhibition consisting of colorful, blended media paintings of interior areas with unoccupied chairs, as our Might 2021 Solo Artist. Here she talks about it.

Females All-around the Environment

Through Women’s Record Thirty day period we are enthusiastic to present Females About the Environment, a pictures exhibition by Solo Artist Kathryn Mohman. Jewish-American artists Linda Stein’s and Mil Lubroth’s late summary and early modern paintings, functions on paper, and collages have mostly escaped the general public eye. Renee Balfour: Mother nature Unbound

Michael Crossett: Flipside
