His creative passion was evident from a young age, leading him to pursue a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Advertising at the University of Santo Tomas. Excelling in his studies, Herbert graduated Magna Cum Laude and received honors such as the UST Rector’s Award for Academic Excellence and the Quezon Leadership Award.

Music Career

Herbert’s musical journey took off during his college years when he co-founded the band Moonstar88. As the lead guitarist, Herbert played a crucial role in the band’s rise to fame, contributing to the release of multiple successful albums. Their hit song “Migraine” became a cultural sensation in the Philippines, amassing over 100 million plays on Spotify.

In 2010,  Herbert Hernandez expanded his musical influence by joining the band 6cyclemind, further cementing his reputation in the Philippine music scene. His guitar skills have been showcased in countless sold-out shows and tours, earning him widespread respect among fans and fellow musicians.
